It was the '70s. When he was a teenager, Rick was entrusted with dish washing and cooking before working his way up to management and eventually inheriting the business shortly after his father passed away in 1990. Their son Rick was 9 at the time and remembers the long, grueling hours his parents worked out of love for their meticulous work. So, it's no wonder it was only a matter of timeandRose and Sandros Mariotti opened the family restaurant on October 6, 1979. He had quite a flair for molding perfect dishes in the kitchen, too. Rose and Sandros were the model husband-and-wife team in the kitchen. His real love was cooking (and his wife, Rose). Italian immigrant, and rather unsatisfied with, Sandros Mariotti was tired of, working in the construction industry. Today, Steve, and their brother-in-law, Fran, his sister, Rick, run the restaurant.
